Once the transcriber receives the sound file, she will be able to:
- type into her word processor while listening to the voice file all from her PC. No transcription equipment needed
- control the sound file with the foot pedal while transcribing. PLAY, PAUSE, REW, FF
- set any word processing program which she might want to use
- "bookmark" any part(s) of the sound file for her to go back to later
- "float" the licensed software above all other windows on the desktop if she wishes
- control the volume from the software
- control the speed of the playback
Formats supported: plays any WAV-formatted file including: DSP Group TrueSpeech, Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3, Lernout & Hauspie, Microsoft IMA ADPCM, Microsoft ADPCM, Microsoft GSM 6.10, Microsoft CCITT G.711, Microsoft PCM, Microsoft Network, Voxware, Windows Media. It also plays these files in their native formats (no converting needed): BCB/PC Dart, Digital Voice VoicePower*, MP3, Olympus DSS and Voice-It SRI
